The prestigious trophy for Press Team of the Year will be awarded to the best PR team working in-house for a financial services company/organisation during 2022.

Winning this trophy is a fantastic endosement for any comms team, as following an inital round of judging and shortlisting, the winner will be decided exclusively by votes from financial journalists.

Entering is a great way to raise the profile of your team, whatever its size.

Judges will be looking for examples of where your team’s professionalism, diligence, hard work and knowledge has put your organisations' campaigns and stories front-and-centre in 2022.

Did you create and implement any successful press campaigns? Did you work together to increase coverage of your stories?

Has your team consistently leapt into action to provide expert comment and data at short notice? Or turned around a record number of press enquiries?

Were you able to achieve positive outcomes/exposure for your organisation?

You'll need to submit:

  • A short supporting statement (maximum 300 words) explaining why your submission deserves to win.
  • A 50-word summary of your entry, for use on the Awards website during the journalist vote (should your entry be shortlisted).
  • A team photo or corporate image

Judges refer extensively to supporting statements during their deliberations, so be sure to include:

  • A summary of your team's strengths and achievements over the past year
  • Quality and sucess of stories/campaigns
  • Examples and data to prove your communications expertise when it comes to working with the financial press
  • Summary of any new initiatives, services or resources for money writers
  • Description of your efficiency, e.g. speed of response time or turnaround time for comment
  • Evidence of dedication and professionalism
