Celebrating the strongest financial stories of 2025
Single pieces of work are highlighted with awards presented in the following categories:
- B2B Story of the Year
- Personal Finance Story of the Year
- Broadcast of the Year
- Story of the Year
- Diversity and Financial Inclusion Story of the Year

For each of the above, judges will be looking for evidence of an individual outstanding piece which exposed/highlighted a financial issue or demonstrated the importance and impact of financial journalism.
Entering is a great way to gain recognition for your strongest item of work. Either individual or team efforts are eligible.
The Broadcast, ESG and Diversity categories are open to pieces of work published/posted on both B2B and Consumer outlets/platforms.
Was your story a significant scoop? Did it expose/highlight a financial issue? Did your piece show original reporting, good writing and a clear understanding of your audience? Did your story have a wide impact? Did your specialist knowledge enable you to provide fresh perspectives or offer valuable guidance and analysis?

Closing dates:
Journalist awards: Entries will close at 11:55pm on Friday 6 February 2026
Please note, entries will not be accepted after the entry deadlines due to a limited judging timeframe.

You'll need to submit:
- A supporting statement (maximum 250 words) explaining why your submission should be considered for this award and why it deserves to win.

A link/upload of your story:
- The item you submit may, for example, be an exclusive news story, an in-depth piece of research, an advice-laden feature, standalone broadcast piece, or an eye-catching interview.
- Your story may have appeared in print, online, as a podcast, or as a piece of audio-visual reportage.
- Your story can be a individual/team effort, but must be one story only, that appeared in the calendar year 2025.
- A headshot of the person(s) responsible for the entry, for use in relevant Awards collateral and on the night at the Headlinemoney Awards ceremony.

Judging & shortlists
Entries in each category will be scrutinised by a panel of judges drawn from the financial media. Judges will determine the shortlists, which will be announced in March/April 2026.
After shortlisting, the final and all-important judging phase to decide all the category winners will take place. Judging panels will engage in a discussion to select the winners.
Winners
The winners will be revealed at London Hilton on Park Lane on Tuesday 23 June 2026, in a celebration widely acknowledged as the biggest night of the year for the UK’s money media.
