Did your title thrive in 2025, providing original reporting, skilled writing and a clear understanding of your readers' requirements? 

Entering is a great way to celebrate the achievements of your team and boost your title's reputation!

Judges will be looking for evidence that your title (print/broadcast/digital) produced the most outstanding financial journalism for your audience during 2025, with separate categories for Consumer Money and B2B titles.

Did 2025 mark the start of a new direction for your content, or a relaunch, introduction of new features or refreshed focus? Is your title known for original reporting, skilled writing and a clear understanding of your readers' requirements? have you consistently highlighted issues important to your audience? Were you able to present complex subject matter in an appropriate and accessible style for your readers? Did your team provide fresh perspectives or offer valuable guidance and analysis?

Journalist awards: Entries will close at 11:55pm on Friday 6 February 2026

Please note, entries will not be accepted after the entry deadlines due to a limited judging timeframe.

How to enter:

  • Entry forms for all categories can be found here

You'll need to submit:

  • A supporting statement (maximum 300 words) explaining why your title should be considered for this award and why it deserves to win.
  • Three examples that best showcase your outlet's work:
    • The items you submit should be three individual pieces (not full editions) that best showcase your outlet's work. These can be a variety of news stories, features, exclusives etc.
    • Your pieces may have appeared in print, digitally, as a podcast, or as a piece of audio-visual reportage.
    • The items you submit must must have appeared in the calendar year 2024.
  • A headshot of the team responsible for the entry, for use in relevant Awards collateral and on the night at the Headlinemoney Awards ceremony.

Judges refer extensively to supporting statements during their deliberations, so be sure to include:

  • A clear explanation of when and why your chosen items were published/broadcast and any useful background/context.
  • Evidence of journalistic achievement in terms of exclusivity, usefulness and influence, including any positive outcomes from your submissions, e.g. help for readers/listeners/viewers and consumers, debate in Parliament, change in the law, a review into the way things are done, etc.
  • Evidence of your teams' dedication, professionalism and reputation for efficiency.
  • Relevant links so judges can see any engagement/impact after the items were published.

When looking at your submissions, judges are likely to consider:

  • Is your copy well-written, accurate and useful for the audience concerned?
  • Do your submissions show a variety of styles/formats and and range of topics?
  • Are your submissions fresh and original? Do they explore new angles or provide new warnings?
  • Do they contain exclusive or hard-hitting investigative work? Or comprehensive/informative surveys?
  • Are your submissions campaigning and/or include a call-to-action?
  • Did your team make accurate predictions/forecasts?
  • Did your submissions produce a positive result?
  • Where relevant, do they contain sensible tips for readers, further steps, etc?
  • Do your submissions make good use of aids such as tables, graphs, break-out boxes, case studies, etc?

Judging & shortlists

Entries in each category will be scrutinised by a  panel of judges drawn from the financial media. Judges will determine the shortlists, which will be announced in March/April 2026. 

After shortlisting, the final and all-important judging phase to decide all the category winners will take place. Judging panels will engage in a discussion to select the winners.

Winners

The winners will be revealed at London Hilton on Park Lane on Tuesday 23 June 2026, in a celebration widely acknowledged as the biggest night of the year for the UK’s money media.
