The prestigious trophy for Expert of the Year will be awarded to the best financial expert of 2024. 

Winning this trophy is a huge boost to the career of any financial commentator, as following an initial round of judging and shortlisting, the winner will be decided exclusively by votes from financial journalists.

Entering is a great way to raise your profile and highlight your achievements.

Judges will be looking for evidence that you were the best media expert/commentator working within a financial services company or organisation during 2024.

Did your insight and knowledge put you front-and-centre of the financial journalism community? Has your profile increased in the last year? Were you the leading voice of successful press campaigns? How did your work benefit your organisation and its campaigns and messages?

Entries will close at 11pm on Friday 31 January 2025 for the PR categories. Please note, for the 2025 awards, entries will NOT be accepted after the entry deadline due to a limited judging time frame.

You'll need to submit:

• A short supporting statement (maximum 300 words) explaining why you should be considered for this award and why your submission deserves to win
• A 50-word summary of your entry, for use on the Awards website during the journalist vote (should your entry be shortlisted)
• (Optional) Two attachments to supplement your entry, clippings, data, etc
• A photograph of yourself for use in relevant Awards collateral, and on the night at the Headlinemoney Awards ceremony itself

Judges refer extensively to supporting statements during their deliberations, so be sure to include:

• A summary of your strengths and achievements over the past year
• A clear explanation of where and how often your views have been featured the financial press 
• Details on the success of stories/campaigns with your involvement
• Examples and data to prove your expertise when it comes to working with the financial press
• Evidence of your dedication, professionalism, reputation for efficiency
• Use the opportunity to supplement your entry with up to two files - reports, data, clippings etc to support your statement
