The process to decide the Headlinemoney Awards category winners is carried out by more than a hundred judges comprising senior financial journalists, editors and PRs drawn from around the UK’s money media.

The judges are part of an extensive, two-stage judging process, kindly giving their time and expertise to review entries, and participate in a round of scoring, followed by comprehensive online panel discussions, overseen by the Chair of Judges, David Worsfold with help from Headlinemoney's Head of Content & Strategy, Claire Beard.

It is a great privilege to be able to lead such a fantastic team of judges. My thanks to every one of them.
The judging process is rigorous, involving several stages and plenty of lively debate. We are lucky to have so many experienced, respected journalists devote time to these awards: without them, it is no exaggeration to say the awards would not happen.
The quality of the entries makes our job very hard but also demonstrates the enormous talent among the UK’s financial journalists. Their determination to do the very best for their readers and audiences shines through time and time again.

- David Worsfold, Headlinemoney Chair of Judges

There was a strong shortlist of talented journalists, speaking to how high the standard is across the sector.

- 2025 judges

A huge thank you to all the 2025 judges!
