About Aasma Day
Aasma Day is The i Paper's Money People Reporter, telling human interest stories involving households' finances.
She was previously North of England Correspondent at Huff Post UK and worked in regional journalism before that for 20 years.
Aasma is a multi-award winning journalist and has won and been shortlisted for awards including Headlinemoney Awards, The Paul Foot Award, the O2 Media Awards, the British Journalism Awards, the Regional Press Awards, the Medical Journalists’ Association Awards, Mind Media Awards and the Rosemary Goodchild Award for Excellence in Sexual Health Journalism.
She was also a member of the Journalists’ Advisory Panel for the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) for six years and has done guest lecturing for journalism students at universities.
Aasma previously led the Johnston Press Investigations Unit and was Lifestyle Editor, Investigative Reporter and a columnist at the Lancashire Post where she worked for 20 years.
