Former founding member, product designer then PR & lobbyist at Virgin Direct (1995-2001), but left when it turned evil and into Virgin Money in late 2001. Operated since then as freelance adviser to the genuine "good guys" of finance under my own Beacon brand - for some 20 years now.
Known as a passionate activist for better, greener and more ethcial finance and most recognised for getting alternative finance off the ground by making Zopa famous and respected in its early days. Followed this with the fabulous Abundance Investment (still my client), Seedrs, the Pensions Policy Institue, the Fairbanking Foundation, the Finance Innovation Lab, EXO Investing, and more recently Sprive, Yayzy, Tred, Earnr, Novus and Quirk.
Obsessed with cheaper vintage electric guitars and being outside (grew up in Canada - never got over it).
