About Helen Nugent

After 14 years in London writing for The Times and a number of other national newspapers, I have been back in the North West for 15 years working as a freelance journalist and editor, copywriter, content provider, media trainer/consultant, conference speaker/chair, and lecturer.

Since returning to Manchester, I have worked for, among others, The Guardian, The Observer, The Mail on Sunday, The Times, the i, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC 6 Music, BBC local radio, Sky News, ITV, Big Issue North, The Yorkshire Post, Northern Soul, and the Daily Star. I was also Money Editor of The Spectator. 

While in London, I worked at The Times for ten years. I also freelanced for most of the national newspapers, including The Daily Telegraph, The Independent on Sunday, The Sunday Times and the Financial Times, as well as a number of leading trade publications.
